Since our founding in 2010, Sinapis has focused on equipping entrepreneurs in the large and dynamic market of Nairobi. As the number of entrepreneurs served has grown exponentially, we have been consistently improving our curriculum. Specifically, our case studies have been adapted to address significant barriers to entrepreneurial and discipleship success in Kenya.
As these improvements have been made, our eyes have always been set on Kenyan cities beyond Nairobi. So it is with great joy that we celebrate Sinapis' expansion to Mombasa and Kisumu. The Mombasa class of 42 entrepreneurs launched on February 11th in partnership with three strong local churches. Mombasa is the 2nd largest market in the country and contains Kenya’s largest port. Kisumu's launch will occur on March 18th. Kisumu is the principal city of western Kenya, known as a historic center of trade in the Lake Victoria region. Both cities have growing entrepreneurship ecosystems, churches who prioritize holistic development, and plenty of eager entrepreneurs.
