Joyce Njoki is the latest winner of our impact award.Four years ago, Joyce was introduced to the special needs world by her son, Nathan. Her negative experience while trying to find support for her son inspired her to consider starting a special needs therapy center, 'In My Shoes'. The In My Shoes Special Needs Therapy center will be a colorful, well-equipped center with licensed therapists that seeks to offer affordable and quality therapy.
The therapists Joyce plans to bring on board have 15 years of total combined experience in dealing with special needs persons. The center's intensive therapy programs have been designed to provide personalized service to assist special persons to achieve a level of independence.Joyce is looking forward to providing affordable and quality therapy as an early intervention service to assist as many special needs individuals as possible. Her journey with therapy sessions, its importance in milestone achievement and constant interaction with special parents, specialists and different stakeholders in the sector is the reason she is so passionate about making these services accessible.Through the Sinapis Entrepreneur Academy, Joyce was able to create a business plan, financial projections and learned how to align her business to God.Joyce would like to create awareness about the need for special persons to receive therapy. She does this through her YouTube Channel, In My Shoes - Special Parenting Journey, that you can access by clicking here.
